The Challenge
To revitalise the iconic Television Centre by enhancing its shared spaces, making them more functional, more vibrant, and more reflective of the diverse community of residents, professionals, and visitors who animate it each day
With screen time this good, no one rushed back to the office. With fresh turf and ergonomic furniture, lunch breaks became moments of connection and comfort. A quiet moment in the city where conversations and community come together. A lush lawn and permanent seating transformed this space into a vibrant daily hangout. Outdoor seating created a new social rhythm, bringing together lunches, meetings, and micro breaks.
Insight and Ambition
Television Centre is a cultural landmark with a rich past and a vibrant present. Yet its shared spaces risk feeling practical rather than personal. We saw an opportunity to shape a new rhythm, one that invites people to pause, connect, and feel at ease. Through subtle shifts in sound, colour, planting, and layout, our ambition was to create spaces that quietly transform the everyday.
Everyday branding that blended utility with style. Bold and playful, our ping-pong table became a magnet for casual fun. Lunch breaks hit differently when the cricket’s on. A perfect midday pause with food, friends, and a Bringing bold colour and community vibes to green spaces,these graphic benches added a playful edge Designed for downtime, these loungers offered a front row seat to summer. Bold loungers, blue skies, and room to unwind, this is what comfort looks like at Television Centre. Comfortable seating and colourful branding turned this into a spot worth staying for. Whether catching a game or catching your breath, this space invited people to stay a while. Graphic tabletops and open skies, who says workday lunch has to be indoors? Outdoor sport screening and chill zones, every day brought something different. Live games, deck chairs and selfie moments, Television Centre brought summer vibes to life. Solo or social, these new interventions let everyone find their own rhythm in the space.

From selfies to shared lunches, the space buzzed with everyday moments that made it feel like home. Colourful turf, shared tables and bold furniture sparked new ways to meet, play, and pause. Every detail, deckchairs, comfort, layout—helped turn an office district into an outdoor retreat. Moments of downtime, lunch breaks, and laughs, all with a screen-side view at the heart Friendly matches, spontaneous laughter, this ping pong table brought the fun. The lawn transformed into a buzzing social square. Even pups found their happy place in this reimagined space. Friendly competition brings instant energy to the space.
