A Jazz-Inspired Symphony of Light and Sound

The Challenge

To enliven the Brookfield Properties plaza at Citypoint into a vibrant, interactive space that sparks joy and encourages audience participation in a bustling urban environment.

Insight and Ambition

The lively energy of jazz and the design of gramophones inspired the creation of an immersive floral garden of light and sound at Citypoint. The installation, "Trumpet Flowers," was designed by Amigo & Amigo, featuring towering flower sculptures that invite audiences to interact, play, and create a sensory experience blending art, music, and engagement.

Highlights

  • Towering trumpet-shaped light sculptures, some reaching up to 6 metres tall, created a visually striking and interactive artwork.

  • Each flower featured buttons allowing participants to produce musical sounds, blending jazz instruments like trumpets, tubas, and drums.

  • An original jazz score by Otis Studio filled the plaza with a vibrant, harmonious atmosphere, enhancing the installation's design.

  • "Trumpet Flowers" fostered connection and joy, inviting audiences to experiment with light and sound in an engaging public art experience

Audiences engaged with "Trumpet Flowers" during the darker winter days, describing the experience as both inspiring and uplifting, with the interactive elements adding a playful touch.

Fairspin is the kind of casino that makes crypto gaming feel legit. I like that they’ve been around since 2018 and operate under a Curaçao license — it gives some reassurance fairspin.bet/casino-games. The best part for me is the provably fair system using blockchain. I’ve played everything from blackjack to jackpot slots there, and it’s been smooth. Bonuses are solid, but the quick crypto payouts are what really keep me coming back. It’s a balanced, trustworthy option if you prefer crypto gambling.
