Kit & Caboodle were approached by Argent, to lead the 2022 festive season at Kings Cross, one of London’s most popular destinations. The brief included developing a “Club Curling” activation, which will run until February 2023. Working in partnership with the King Cross estate owners/managers, we proposed site-wide lighting and way-finding, novel, seasonally-themed Instagram moments on the Canal Side steps, a hero Christmas Tree and the build, running and operation of “Club Curling” together with its new accompanying bar. We were also asked to decorate all the resident business/office trees across the site.
To design and deliver an elevated site-wide festive and Club Curling activation, that would offer an all-time heightened seasonal experience. Highly effective site-wide lighting tied together all elements of our campaign, and worked with the wider Shop Off Piste creative platform.
Carefully curated way-finding that clearly led guests from Kings Cross up to Coal Drops Yard and the Club Curling activation. We created a strong visual identity which tied together all of the on-site elements including the highly acclaimed neon scribble tree as part of the site-wide lighting which was designed to echo the colour palette and neon decorations of our 45ft high feature tree in Coal Drops Yard. The tree has been decorated using playful Christmas emblems such as bobble hats created in neon. Club Curling has been elevated with the lanes turned around to face a focal central point of a cool winter lounge, including a feature faux fireplace. Every detail was considered from colour washing of the colour lanes down to staff uniforms and even strawberry-themed hot chocolates.
