From midday commutes to midday concerts, The Yards became the soundtrack of summer.

Where beautiful music meets bright summer moments

The Challenge

To collaborate with Knight Frank and CBRE to design and deliver a series of engaging programmed musical moments throughout The Yards in Covent Garden, maximising dwell time and visibility while creating surprise-and-delight experiences for visitors, residents, and passersby.

Insight and Ambition

Midday hours are often underutilised for public engagement, especially in busy commercial districts. We transformed that lull into a live, rhythmic, family-friendly festival that invites people to stay, smile, and shop.

Highlights

  • Over 1,000+ spontaneous smiles across 6 weeks of live performances and storytelling

  • A vibrant 3-day-a-week programme featuring soloists, duos, storytellers, and child-friendly activities

  • A fully branded, modular stage design that echoed The Yards’ bold summer identity

  • Activated retail synergy by increasing lunchtime footfall, dwell time, and F&B interactions

The Yards came alive with guitar strings, ukulele harmonies, and voices that made people pause mid-commute, and stay for the magic.

An audience of locals and visitors lounge on deckchairs, sipping drinks and enjoying live music in St Martin’s Courtyard.
Lunchtimes became the new showtimes with live music and laid-back summer vibes.
