  • Dishoom Family Mela 2016

Dishoom closed all their restaurants for the day to allow us to set-up a festival style Mela including fairground rides, loud brightly coloured decorations, rickshaw photobooth, pamper parlour, children's entertainment, live music and uplifting DJ / dance floor to a food village of eclectic food trucks and plenty of cold Kingfisher beer! We had a great time creating Dishoom's annual ‪#‎Familymela‬ at Mudchute Park. It was wonderful to see so many happy smiling faces celebrating with their team and families all their achievements. Creative Director and CEO of Kit and Caboodle Tanya Clark has been working with Dishoom to create unforgettable environments since 2011. Check out the famous pop up summer restaurant she created with her team on London's South Bank and more recently the Dishoom Holi Festival in London in 2016. See more photos on Instagram here

  • Holi Festival Theme Celebration

We were challenged to create two awesome Holi parties in London for restauranteurs Dishoom where 2,000 excited children and adults could fling powdered paint at one another? Holi is a Hindu spring festival in India and Nepal, also known as the festival of colours, where party-goers throw paint in celebration. Services: Full turn key event management and creative production. It was a challenge persuading a venue to accommodate such a messy activity! We sourced a suitable venue in Bethnal Green. The whole interior was wrapped in polythene to protect the walls and floor from the avalanche of powdered paint (over one ton!) that was about to descend. An army of cleaners was recruited to clean up between the daytime and evening parties. A riot of colour and fun, our client was very satisfied with our innovative approach to the project. We invited grafitti artist Inkie along to host kids workshops during the day, decorating the polythene walls with Indian street art inspired artworks. Kavi Thakrar, one of the Founder-Wallas of Dishoom was thrilled. “Kit & Caboodle brought buckets of fun and creativity to the party. The decoration of the walls with graffiti by Inkie provided a fun interactive element for adults and children alike. They added their own scribbles and drawings to the already-colourful walls - merging art, culture and fun – Holi brilliant!” #holidishoom

  • True Religion Re-Brand

Working in collaboration with Hype Beast, True Religion were launching a re-brand to push them back into the forefront of urban street fashion. Combining elements of installation and nightclub to create a one off launch night. Our services included taking over the Carnaby Street store to provide both True Religion and Hypebeast with a platform from which to successfully launch their collaboration to the public. Installing a styled jungle into this normally natural minimalistic space, combined with metallic cages and concrete textures that served to provide the launch pad for their new range to truly stand out from. Partnering up with Jagermeister to provide a strong beverage partner that further served to elevate the status of the whole night which we managed both the guestlist, DJ, staffing, catering as well as working alongside True Religion management to curate this one off street party!

  • Facebook Winter Staff Party

Following the success of the summer party we created for Facebook, our brief from their team was to source a suitable venue, design, produce and manage a magical themed Winter Party for 1,500 staff members. Services Kit and Caboodle supplied a full turn-key service with full event management including all production aspects. Our in-house creative team oversaw the overall event design and experience, including the specification and construction of all elements, all entertainment and catering sorting and booking. We transformed the famous Fabric nightclub into an exciting themed venue based on a theme of skiing chalets, and a snowscape. We built large external ski chalets in the courtyard of the venue, to dispense hot chocolate, Raclette and crepes, as well as housing a snug or two, a Bucking Moose and a snow machine. Over 200 of our own team and contractors were on site to manage the installation of the Winter Wonderland experience, providing a range of activities including a themed “jump-a-round” dance room, almost 100 silver birch trees surrounded by snow drifts throughout the venue, and 30 full size decorated Christmas trees. A 3D projection mapped main stage set, ice bar and thousands of fairy lights were just a few if the details that transformed the nightclub into a series of magical and mysterious spaces. The venue staff observed that they had never seen the venue look more beautiful and so imaginatively and creatively transformed by our team, who, they said, worked harder than any other event installation team they had ever worked with.

It was for 180 private guests and needed to cater for both adults and young children. Services Design & Build: Taking the theme Enchanted Garden We created a stunning marquee setting for the main dinner and dance room. A snapshot of elements we designed included a bespoke bird cage canopy for the main client’s table, projection mapped beautiful hummingbird images onto the stage. We built a circular see-through dance floor with hundreds of indigo butterflies painted with UV wings (for a main UV midnight reveal). • Luxury Ibiza Wedding

Brief: We worked with a Brazilian Jewish couple to design and deliver a lavish two day wedding event at a private villa in Ibiza. Following Jewish tradition and designing bespoke required elements. Services: Creatively managing the events production design, build and complete look and feel. Working with a truly classic 'rustic Ibizian' Villa, this was to be the centre of the lavish celebration. We conducted structural site surveys and full grounds maintenance prior to commencing production. This villa was surrounded by the countryside of Ibiza, and we were able to give guests experiences in different areas of the site for both days, creating a more memorable, unique experience. Following a full design brief from our client we formed initial mood boards, plans and elevations for both events. Firstly we provided a traditional Jewish ‘Shabbat’ dinner at the villa for 150 guests, the night before the wedding. This included furniture hire, floral design and management and styling. We took care of every detail, right down to the napkins. Our team set up the Shabbat Dinner next to the pool, our mixologist was just a few feet away and the DJ was ready to entertain guests for the evening. For the wedding on Saturday, we were again responsible for the complete design, execution and event management of this Luxury Ibiza Wedding Experience. Working with Olive Green tones and gentle lighting, that complimented the villa, we hung crystal chandeliers from the trees and imported high quality linen for the table decor. We designed and built a bespoke wedding platform, 'Chuppah', on the grounds of the villa for the ceremony wedding day. The platform stood tall and was draped in white Hydrangea, covered by gold thread drape at the ceiling. Our bespoke platform was hidden away from the main area of the villa, creating a new environment for the ceremony as guests were led from the entrance of the villa, down by the pool, following the lanterns down to the wedding. In the evening, our dessert station was an hit with guests! Everyone partied into the night, as we produced their very own special DJ and dancefloor area. We maintained a wonderful relationship with the Bride and Groom, and celebrated their first wedding anniversary with flowers and congratulations. #Ibiza #Wedding #Luxury

  • KXmas 2017

Kit and Caboodle was enlisted to celebrate the launch of the new retail area on King’s Boulevard at Kings Cross and to conceptualise, design, produce and manage a Christmas launch extravaganza! Taking over one of the retail units to install a unique experience that included independent traders, morning yoga, DJ led dance nights and Christmas workshops. All supported by festive cocktails served at our custom bar. We needed to create a visually stunning space that served to provide as many interactive opportunities as possible. So thats what we gave them! Taking over an unfinished retail unit we designed our own version of a Christmas forest with shimmering fabrics, neon lights and our own Christmas tree composed of bright pink presents! Turning the grey concrete space into a beacon of light and colour. We then collaborated with local traders to populate the space with a fantastic selection of clothing, jewellery, paintings and just about everything perfect for under the tree gifts. In addition to this we curated a timetable of events that ran throughout the installation. creating partnerships with brands such as Frame, Spiritland and Urban east makers to give both the commuters, passers by and the professionals working in the area a much needed injection of excitement and revelry!

  • Stella Artois World Draught Masters

At the Stella Artois World Draught Masters, a competition to pour the perfect pint following a strict ritual takes place; we we were asked to advise on how to re-engage the audience and take them on an immersive brand experience. We provided the full turn-key event management, design and production delivery. Taking inspiration from 1960s French cinema, the set was designed in such a way to keep a strong brand identity whilst creating a fun and memorable backdrop to host the world Draught Masters. Taking feedback from previous years we had the challenge of engaging an audience that were effectively being asked to watch bartenders pour pints and were losing interest. It was essential that the set and entertainment and hosts captivated the audience. We took this in to production where we built an enormous 14ft pop-up book to aid in telling the brand story and reinforcing that message. “On behalf of the Stella Artois team, thanks for all the great effort and amazing delivery of an amazing show. To “move from an event to a show” was a massive challenge back in January, but after yesterday we are very proud of the achievement and we feel we have delivered against that challenge.” NIK UPTON, MOTHER

  • Almost Human

Kit and Caboodle were approached by Joint to work with them in creating a unique, interactive experience as part of the launch of Almost Human on network television. Humanoids work side by side with human police in the TV show. Kit & Caboodle took this inspiration to create the twitter led hologram droid, and were one of the first companies to use Holo-Gauze in a public setting. Members of the public were encouraged to tweet live commands to the droid and their messages were projected on to the back wall of the venue, the droid duly followed.
