  • Mad Hatter's Gin & Tea Party London

"We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here." Kit & Caboodle partnered with Fever Up and Secret LDN to bring you the London edition of the Mad Hatter Gin & Tea Party. Following the event’s huge success in New York and LA, Kit & Caboodle were challenged with curating the Mad Hatters Gin & Tea Party for the experience seeking London audience. Working with major tech marketing partner Fever Up we gained valuable insights through their data which informed our strategic approach to the creative process in developing this lifestyle experience. We were able to analyse the data-driven intelligence from the earlier USA shows alongside UK data and insights, driving our creativity forward for an enhanced experiential and narrative appropriate to the sophisticated London audiences. The name was the only similarity between the London and US versions, as K&C created and developed a brand-new script with nods to current UK culture and subcultures, a multi roomed and themed venue that had Instagram stories bursting at the seams. It really was an experience like no other, plus some of the best gin cocktails you’ll ever try. Words couldn’t describe or give justice to the amazing set design, performances and fun that was had at Mad Hatters during 7 months with 340 shows and over 8,500 people attending as they stepped through an unassuming door in Notting Hill. Guests started their experience through a Victorian hat shop, down the rabbit hole and in to a psychedelic neon wonderland. During the 25 weeks of our residency between September 2019 and March 2020, 340 shows were hosted, more than 2,000 litres of gin were imbibed, that’s around 34,000 cocktails, and we lost count of the amount of cucumber sandwiches lovingly prepared in in the Duchess’ kitchen. Kit & Caboodle thoroughly enjoyed working on this project over the course of the last 12 months, and thanks to the project’s popularity and success, we are already planning new and exciting events for later in the year. Digital statistics: Post media shares: 9163 Post comments: 16,445 Post reactions: 81,116 Post engagements: 1,834,412 Reach: 3,524,051 In the end we finished with an overall rating of 4.5/5 stars, made 8,500 people very happy and have had hundreds of great reviews from delighted customers. Here are just a few: "Thanks to all the K&C team with the brilliant out-of-the-box ideas and incredible resilience throughout this entire project! And to all of you for the things that cannot be measured or put into words!!" ‘’Such a fun experience! Really friendly staff. Good actors and strong cocktails would highly recommend!’’ ‘’Fantastic! The Mad Hatter was great, kept us entertained throughout, and the drinks were out of this world! Would recommend and even go again.” ‘’What a cracking day out. Good lighthearted fun from a great 'cast'. A very well organised event from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone there." "Much more than expected! the hosts/actors were amazing, a night full of laughs, nice drinks and definitely different than any other party!’’ For any updates and to see what we’re up to, please follow us on Instagram @_kitandcaboodle #purveyorsofwow

  • Land Rover BORN Awards

For the first time, the annual Land Rover BORN Awards Global Final 2018 were hosted in London at the iconic Design Museum, drawing some of the most innovative designers in the world to the capital. The Land Rover BORN Awards are an annual competition celebrating exceptional creative achievements in design, within six categories: Technology, Fashion, Home Product Design, Architecture Design, Spot & Leisure and Retail Experience. At the Global Final, 12 finalists (2 from each category) had their designs showcased at the gala. From the beginning we worked with the Land Rover BORN Awards team and their sponsor, Jaguar Land Rover, to ensure our goals and values were aligned. It was key to ensure that we were equipped to bring their vision to life and maintain the prestige associated with these design awards. The theme for this year was, “Peerless” and the Global Final event had to be just that. The key to the awards gala aesthetic was simple elegance at its finest. We wanted the award winning designers to be the stars of the show, and so we curated the event in a way that highlighted and showcased their work within the magnificent architectural atrium of the museum. Custom display units designed and built by our team paid homage to the existing aesthetic of the Design Museum and complemented the space beautifully. When guests arrived they were dressed to the nines, and had an amazing time in the beautiful space. Pierre Sapin, Managing Director of the BORN Awards, emphasised that as Land Rover is a luxury brand, it was key to “protect that positioning and Kit & Caboodle has proved to our guests and to us [that they totally] understand [this and were able to deliver] to the [expectation] that we had.” The event truly was unlike no other; it was peerless. “I found working with Kit & Caboodle extremely pleasant – very professional people. On time and dedicated. We had a high level of demands in terms of premium life style luxury deliveries, and Kit & Caboodle has proved to our guests and to us that they totally understood this and were able to deliver to the high standards that we had.” PIERRE SAPIN, MD, LAND ROVER BORN AWARDS Watch the testimonial from the Managing Director of BORN below:

  • Malibu's Best Summer Ever

Photo credit: Zoe London Ibiza summers are all about letting loose and having fun in the sun, and Malibu's #BestSummerEver residency at Ibiza Rocks hotel was just the place to do that. Kit & Caboodle were engaged by Pernod Ricard to design, produce and manage the summer long activation. A large asset kit was produced for the main pool area at the hotel. In addition, brand coloured loungers, day beds, a giant coconut, bar and DJ Booth were all part of the activation kit that really brought the party to life. We also managed sampling stands and the brand ambassadors during all major events at the hotel. Our Kit & Caboodle on-island team were rock stars in ensuring the kit was always taken care of, and more importantly, ensuring all guests were having the best time. It really was the #BestSummerEver. • Disney X Pandora – Mickey’s 90th

One of the world’s most beloved characters, Mickey Mouse, turned ninety in 2018. In honour of this milestone, Pandora collaborated with Disney to design a special edition Mickey’s 90th charm. An exclusive cinema event was hosted over three days, and Pandora brought the Kit & Caboodle team in to produce it. For this event we transformed the top floor of the flagship Pandora store at Marble Arch into a bespoke cinema experience. The event of the aesthetic was classic Hollywood as an ode to Mickey’s original appearance in Steamboat Willie. With a black and gold colour scheme, vintage popcorn machine and vintage photo booth, the nostalgic atmosphere was really brought to life. From custom graphics on the photo booth backdrop to #DisneyXPandora on popcorn bags and balloons, no detail was overlooked. Throughout the day shoppers on Oxford Street were able to come up to the event space to enjoy free sweets and snap a picture. In the evening, ticketed guests were able to attend an exclusive screening of Fantasia in a “secret cinema” style event. These guests were thrilled to receive goody bags including a set of Mickey Mouse ears, and Hotel Chocolat sweets and bubbly. Guests loved the unique space and moment of nostalgia that was created through the bespoke décor, and our client was just as thrilled! Through the event we helped increase Pandora’s sales of the special edition charm and were able to generate over 90,000 impressions around the event. We pride ourselves on creative design at Kit & Caboodle and are told time and again how we excel in this area, impressing clients beyond expectations. Naturally, we were thrilled to know we had achieved that accolade again with Pandora saying that, "[Kit & Caboodle's] visuals were almost an exact replica of what was produced" and thus we had “…brought their vision to life in every detail.”

  • Birchbox at Stylist Live

Birchbox was returning to Stylist Live for the first time in years, so this activation needed to stand out among the hundreds of other exhibitors at London Olympia. As experiential experts with an eye for detail, Kit & Caboodle were just the people to bring their activation to life. The idea of Beauty Fruity was born; a slot-machine style game where guests could try their luck for a chance to win a beauty product sample, or the ultimate prize of a full Birchbox box. The challenge was to create a space that was visually stunning, while also having a functional game that was fun and interactive. Through partnering with tech experts Hellicar Studios, we were able to make Birchbox’s vision reality. The fruit machine itself stood nearly 3m tall, and was dressed in Birchbox branded print to ensure the brand was at the forefront of the display. The game itself included custom graphics with sound and lights to ensure Beauty Fruity could be heard from near and far. We knew we were onto something great, but neither us nor our clients had anticipated just how successful the activation would be. The activation was live for 3 days and Beauty Fruity was played by 2000 times per day and boasted a total of 1500 wins per day. It was the best activation of the year for Stylist Live. “Kit & Caboodle were really collaborative, responsive and truly made our dream stand at Stylist Live. With nearly 2000 visitors per day, our activation was an absolute success!” HANNAH BENSTEAD, BIRCHBOX Over the course of the three days at Stylist Live, quite literally from the moment the show opened until the moment it closed, there was a queue all the way around Birchbox’s activation. Each day over 1500 people visited Beauty Fruity. Our client was beyond thrilled with the success of the activation and said, “Kit and Caboodle were really collaborative and helped make our dream stand!”

  • 7 Ways to Beat Blue Monday

Monday 21st January 2019 is officially designated as the most depressing day of the year so far, and probably ever. The bills are in from Christmas, your friends have all given up booze or gone vegan for the month, your new pajamas don’t fit after you’ve pigged out over the festive season, even though they clearly are fitted with a really relaxed elastic waistband – and yes, it’s a long, long way before your summer holidays. Here’s Kit and Caboodle’s 7 sneaky suggestions to Banish the Blues : 1). Have a cold shower … and rub down with Tisserand’s fragrant aromatherapy bath salts for the few seconds you can bear to be under the cold jets. You’ll smell gorgeous even if, unfortunately, you might go blue with hypothermia. 2). Lock yourself in your bedroom after being inspired by Keira Knightley as Colette. Try to write your first page of your first bestseller whilst finishing off the last of the Christmas chocolates and shortbread (waste not, want not). When this fails, sign up for a free “How to Write a Bestseller” with Richard McMunn https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/richard-mcmunn.com 3). Go bananas – no, seriously. Bananas contain tryptophan, used by the body to manufacture serontonin, the happiness hormone. They’ll also top up your potassium levels which will have been reduced by the stress of reading your credit card bills. Besides, they’re cheap as chips. But not as yummy. 4). Get a real thrill … eat a chilli pepper. The capsaicin will burn the end of your tongue and your brain will release an army of endorphins to ease your pain (temporarily) which will make you feel great, even though your tongue hurts. Also, if you’re a bloke, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before going to Gents and handling the Crown Jewels. 5). Banish those blues with a fit of the giggles. Laughter really can be uplifting, although don’t do it on the Tube for no good reason otherwise you’ll probably be taken off by guards at the next station. There’s plenty of Laughter Yoga sessions on the internet – just take a look. Laughter plus Yoga … it’s got to have some benefit! 6). Borrow a Karaoke set and invite all your friends round. Promise them Vegan snacks and alcohol-free cocktails. They’ll be really grateful and appreciative of your singing talents. Science has proved that listening to upbeat music with upbeat intentions can lead to you feeling, well, upbeat. We rent out a Karavanaoke – a 1970s caravan that you can park in your drive and serenade the neighbours over the weekend. You’ll be really popular. 7. And if all else fails … PLAN YOUR NEXT PARTY! Whether you are just a sad individual or a hung-over corporate team still trying to work out whose bottom was photocopied at the Xmas Office party … you need Kit & Caboodle because we’ll banish the blues … any day of the year.

  • Battersea Power Station – The Eggsperience

Kit and Caboodle’s team were challenged to create a fun and educational experience at Circus West, part of the new development on the south bank at Battersea Power Station. “The Eggsperience” concept was created by K&C to attract and inspire local residents and their families across the 2019 Easter weekend. The design of the experience encouraged exploration of the ever-changing BPS site, leading visitors into retail outlets around the site, a mobile farm run by Sharky and George, chocolate tasting, a weekend market and a free Easter Bunny Trail and Eggshibition of eggs. A series of 14 giant egg sculptures were scattered around the Battersea site, with clues to the answers for the Trail quiz, and visitors enjoyed Instagram moments following the giant Bunny pawprints around to find the giant Eggs, all of which were hand decorated by artists from the local community. All entrants to the quiz were rewarded with colourful egg stickers proclaiming that they’d “cracked it” … and one lucky winner a day won dinner for four at Tonkotsu, and four free tickets for the Archlight Cinema. With colourful bunting, banners and astro-turfed river frontage complete with bright yellow deckchairs, around 4,000 visitors of all ages were attracted onto the site to enjoy The Eggsperience in the Easter weekend sunshine. "It was great working with Tanya and her team on our Easter campaign at Battersea Power Station. We wanted to deliver a campaign that was bright, fun and engaging for families but also appeal to other ages and demographics. K&C came up with the concept of ‘The Eggs-perience” which included many elements from egg hunts, animal farms, to ‘egg specials’ at our retailers and a giant “eggs - hibition” where kids could learn about different types of eggs. The campaign was a huge success with over 50,000 footfall over the weekend which at the time was our busiest weekend on record" NICOLA CASPERSON, LIVE & BRAND EXPERIENCES DIRECTOR

  • Novikov's Winter Lodge

Novikov sits at the heart of Mayfair with an intriguing combination of two beautiful restaurants – Asian and Italian, and a stylish lounge bar. Wanting to transform their lounge bar into an alpine retreat, they knew Kit & Caboodle were just the people to achieve this. With just 6 weeks to bring the project to life, we fast-tracked the design and planning process with them, which informed the styling, manufacture and installation of the space. Taking inspiration from Ralph Lauren style combined with vintage Alpine posters and photos of celebrities enjoying decadent mountain-top parties, we created a sumptuous, luxurious yet cosy environment. The lodge was sponsored by quintessential classic vodka, Beluga. It featured a custom-made bar, handcrafted using solid oak distressed tops with cladding made from reindeer skins and leather straps. The Beluga logo was etched into a brass plaque and fastened to the front with brass rivet in order to feature the sponsor's brand. This was not your standard ski lodge. The devil lay in the detailed extra touches - from bespoke tartan and velvet cushions, cloches filled with pine cones, a roaring fire with a richly garlanded mantle-piece, vintage skis and sledge, a bronze stag head and vintage luggage trunks. Not only was the overall impact stunning, it also offered intimate spaces where guests could relax and snuggle up. For those who felt a bit more like partying, there was opportunity to participate in the programme of adrenaline-fueled festivities in the Novikov Bar itself, where the resident DJs always turn up the heat. The menu was as fabulous as the surroundings, with winter warmers like Bratwurst, fondue, smoked fish, tartiflette and mulled wine, served alongside signature canapés and dishes from both Novikov’s Asian and Italian Restaurants. Reaction is everything - guests were in awe and amazed at the transformation as they passed through the winter pine forest and through the heavy, rich drapery and into the lodge. While the holidays seem to be over in the rest of the city, Novikov's cozy lounge is around for a few more weeks. Don't miss your last chance to enjoy this last bit of holiday magic!

  • Saatchi & Saatchi Family Dinner 2018

For the third year in a row, Saatchi & Saatchi commissioned Kit & Caboodle to produce its annual client appreciation banquet called 'Family Dinner'. This year’s event stood out from the rest as we found a new home for the event at iconic venue Landing Forty Two, and we really pushed the envelope, creating a space that had a specially curated and high end aesthetic. From Avant-Garde aerial arrangements to custom floral ‘Matchimalism’ print on walls and literature, no detail was overlooked in our transformation of the space. Guests were served a three course meal designed with a very British take on fusion cuisine, with an distinctly International feel. The evening featured a keynote speech from David Miliband which was timely during current state of political affairs. The Q&A featured many a question on Brexit. For us the reaction is everything and not only were guests in awe of the view and styling, but the warm and welcoming atmosphere we created allowing them to get into the spirit of things, laying the foundation for fun after party antics. We've had feedback from Saatchi guests and staff that this was the best year to date. We have an eye for detail that comes through in our work, because, like Saatchi and Saatchi, we believe that Nothing is Impossible.

  • #IfCarlsbergDid... Christmas

After a little hiatus, Carlsberg's "If Carlsberg Did..." campaign made a triumphant come back. Lovers of the brand know that if Carlsberg does anything, they're probably going to do it better than anyone else. Their Christmas activation on London's Southbank was no different. To celebrate Christmas the only way Carlsberg know how, we produced the world's greatest Christmas Tree. The tree stood tall and could be seen from miles away, but the little details are what made this tree truly like no other. Installing a one off Christmas Tree that quite literally served people a cold pint of Carlsberg was of course a hit with passers by! The tree was dressed in candle-lit beer bottles, digital festoon lighting and a large beer hop at the top of the tree. The first 100 visitors also received a hand-blown ‘beerble’. The setup attracted huge attention, not just from thirsty punters but also made it to the top of the multiple Christmas installation lists. #IfCarlsbergDid Christmas Trees, well we'd all have a little extra holiday cheer wouldn't we?
